Khidash is an Arabic name for boys that means "clawer", one who creates a scratch in something. It is an ancient Arabic name and it is the name of a number of companions of the Prophet ﷺ, such as Khidash bin Zuhair, Khidash bin Salama and Khidash bin Qatada. Khidash is pronounced [(KH)artoum + s(I)t] + [(DASH)] with emphasis on the second syllable. It is written as خِدَاش in Arabic and can also be written at Khedash, Khidaash, Khydash, Kidash, Kedash in English.
