I’m afraid that your information about Persian name “Mahnam” is not accurate.
“Mahnam” is not a girl only name and is used by boys and men mostly (including myself) ant it means “Great Name” or “Moon like name”.
“Mah” in Persian has different meanings including “Great”, “Moon” etc. and with a quick search in Persian dictionaries you can find accurate meanings easily.
