Magd is variant of Majd and has the exact same meaning and pronunciation (see below for full meaning). You can use either Magd or Majd, both are correct and acceptable. Full Meaning of Magd

Magd is a name for both boys and girls and means luster, honor, distinction, glory. It is not directly mentioned in the Quran, but it is derived from M-J-D root which is used in the Quran and the source of two of the 99 names of Allah: al-Majed and al-Majeed. M-J-D root is used in a number of places in the Quran, such as 11:73:

They said, ‘Are you astonished at God’s command? May the mercy of God and His blessings be upon you, O people of this house. Surely, He is praiseworthy and glorious.’
