Assalamu Alaikum.Thanks for your wonderful site it was very informative and helpful.. I am planning to assign name to my new baby girl as 'Riyaah Ahamed'..However some search shows Riyaah also has meaning as 'show off'.please advise if this correct or can i go ahead with this name Second short qs..is Rayyan purely a male name can we call a girl like Rayyan ahamed or Rayyan Fatima. Many thanks in advance for your time and effort in clearing my doubts.

The word Riyaah ("good scent", "winning") is a completely different word from Riyaa ("to show off"). For this reason you can use Riyaah knowing that it has no relationship with Riyaa.
Rayyan can be used for both boys and girls. We have updated our site to reflect this.
