Is Araina (not Ariana) an Islamic origin name or acceptable for use? What does it mean?

Answer

This is an official answer by QuranicNames.com Staff

We haven't come across a name like this. Ara is a Persian root that means "to beautify", and it is the source of many names, such as Ara, Arastan, Arasteh, Araidan, Arayesh. Araina sounds similar to these, but there is no Persian word exactly like it.

Araina is Hebrew and it means “very holy.” I named my first child Arella and my second Araina. Both are Hebrew.
