Bazil is an Arabic name for boys that means "giving", "generous", "charitable". It is not a Quranic name, but Muslims can use it since it has a good meaning. Its standard pronunciation is with a th sound as in that instead of the z sound, but since z is easier to pronounce, most people pronounce it with z. including most Arabs. Bazil can also be spelled Baazil, Bazel, Baazel, Badhil, Baadhil.
