AoA, I have named my son Bazil, I want to know if it's in the Quran, its meaning is "kingly", "royal" and at some places it's "brave", "kind" and "giving"

Answer

This is an official answer by QuranicNames.com Staff

Bazil is an Arabic name for boys that means "giving", "generous", "charitable". It is not a Quranic name, but Muslims can use it since it has a good meaning. It is is commonly pronounced [(BA)g] + [(Z)oom + s(I)t + p(L)ay] with emphasis on Ba. Its standard pronunciation is with a th sound as in that instead of the z sound, but since z is easier to pronounce, most people pronounce it with z. including most Arabs. Bazil can also be spelled Baazil, Bazel, Baazel, Badhil, Baadhil. It is written as بَاذِل in Arabic.

Bazil has a feminine version as well, Bazila. It is pronounced [(BA)g] + [(Z)oom + s(I)t] + [(LU)ck], with emphasis on Ba. It can alsobe written as Bazilah, Baazila, Baazilah, Bazela, Baazela, Bazelah, and others. It is written as بَاذِلَة in Arabic.
