Full Meaning of Honene

Honene is the name of a battle mentioned in the Quran, which was won by the Muslims. Honene is the name of a valley between at-Taif and Mecca in which the battle took place. The literal meaning of the word is not known, it is derived from the H6-N-N root which has meanings of “longing”, “yearning”, “nostalgia”.
