    It’s not an Islamic name.It’s an old persian name,NOT related to Islam at consists of two persian words “gol,گل ” which means “flower” and “noush،نوش” which means “sweet or nectar،شهد و شیرینی” .In word by word translation it can have the meaning :”flower’s sweetness” or “as sweet as a flower is?(my impression of the name)” .It is said that the name figuratively means”a person with everlasting beauty”.
    Don’t forget please it’s NOT AN ARABIC name.
