My daughter’s name

As Salam Alai Kum,

I am a muslim and i wish to name my daughter as “MISHEL”

Considering the fact that its arabic/urdu/hebrew meaning is “A light” and its a muslim name as per various islamic/ muslim names website.

But my family is objecting this saying that its more popularly used in christians and i should avoid this just bcoz some popular christians have this name and just bcoz my family hasnt heard this name in muslim community.

How far is this logical and should i actually avoid naming my daughter as “Mishel” ???
