I’ve few questions for naming my newborn boy:

    1. I read on some islamic websites (eg Islamqa) that using uddin/al-din as suffix is disliked in Islam, eg nuruddin, as it’s almost like lying. Can you provide more detail on this, from scholar’s sources ? Because I’ve seen many people using this name, today as well as in the history.

    2. Is uddin and al-din same as in this context of dislike and meaning ?

    3. Further, can anyone recommend arabic/quranic names that means same as:
    a. daii
    b. scholar/knowledgeable

    jazakallah!
