    Farhad is not an ISLAMIC/Arabic name … it is a Persian name and before the story of Shirin and Farhad, (1)

    Farhad is neither of an Islamic name nor of helper. Per Encyclopedia of Iranica, it means ‘gained’, ‘merited’.
