A Quranic Name for Boys and Girls

Dhikr is variant of Zikr and has the exact same meaning and pronunciation (see below for full meaning). You can use either Dhikr or Zikr, both are correct and acceptable. If you like this variant more and you'd like to pronounce it the way it is spelled (different than the original name), this is perfectly acceptable. Full Meaning of Dhikr

Dhikr is an Arabic name for boys and girls that means “remembrance”, “mention”, it refers to when you think of a person or mention them in conversation. In the Quran it often refers to the remembrance of God, it is also used as another name for the Quran.

And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? (Quran 54:32)
