Full Meaning of Baatiyr

Baatiyr is an indirect Quranic name for boys and girls that means “full moon”, it is also one of the names for the moon in Arabic. It is derived from the B-D-R root which is also the root for the word Badr (the name of the first battle of Islam) used in the Quran in verse 3:123.

And already had Allah given you victory at [the battle of] Badr while you were few in number. Then fear Allah; perhaps you will be grateful.
