Avista is a Persian name for boys and girls that means “principle”, “foundation”, “refuge”, “fellowship”. It is also the name of an ancient language of Persia and the name of the holy book of Zoroastrianism, an ancient religion of Persia which some Muslim scholars consider a true religion inspired by God that, like Christianity, was eventually altered and corrupted by humans.
