Arzu is a Persian name for girls that means “desire”, “hope”, “wish”, “longing”. It is not an Islamic name but Muslims can use it since it has a good meaning. It is written as آرزو in Persian, pronounced [(A)fter] + [p(R)ay + s(E)t or s(I)t] + [(ZOO)] with emphasis on the first syllable, and in English it can also be written as Arizoo, Arzoo, Aryzoo, Aarizoo, Aarezoo, Aaryzoo, Aarzoo.
