    From a book that I’m referring to, it means
    1. God has appointed
    3. Prophet Jeremiah, who was contemporary with Ma’add, son of Adnan, renonwned ancestor of Prophet Muhammad; and according to Ghiya-sul-Lighar, he is the same as Prophet Khizr; another name for Hazrat Ali; another name for Jerusalem

    Only thing it doesn’t say is if it’s a female or a male name. Does anybody know?

    Armiya is a boys name.
    Prophet Armiya was the one that Allah SWT commanded to take food and drink to Prophet Danyel when he was in the pit with lions, if im not misstaken this was in the time of Prophet Musa. PBUH all.
