Full Meaning of Anomullah
Anomullah is a phrasal direct Quranic name for boys made up of the words anʿum (“blessings”, “favors”) and the name Allah. The name means “God’s blessings“, “God’s favors“, all the good things that God blesses upon His creatures. The intended meaning is that the child is one of Allah’s great blessings.
Anomullah (anʿum allāh) is used once in the Quran in Sūrat al-Naḥl:
And Allah presents an example: a city which was secure and tranquil, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allah. So Allah made it taste the enveloping punishment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing. And there had certainly come to them a Messenger from among themselves, but they denied him; so punishment overtook them while they were wrongdoers. (Quran 16:112-113
