Andeya is a Persian name for girls that is the name of the wife of Artaxerxes I of Persia, one of the kings of the Achaemenid Persia. She is also known as Andeya of Babylon. We cannot find any information on the meaning of this name. It is possible that it is from an ancient language and its meaning is no longer known. Some people say it means “little angel” or “pure girl”, but this cannot be verified. Since the meaning is not known, it is acceptable to use this name for a Muslim child, since only names with known bad meanings are forbidden in Islam.
