Full Meaning of Afeefa

Afeefa is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “chaste”, “modest”, “righteous”. It is derived from the AIN-F-F root which is used in a number of places in the Quran.

Alms are for the poor who are restricted in the way of Allah, disabled from going about in the land. The unknowing takes them for the affluent because of their modesty. (Quran 2:273)
