Meaning of Abu Husaifah
Husaifah in the language of the Arabian Tayy tribe means “snake”1, but this might be a rare dialectical usage. Based on the typical patterns of the Arabic language, Husaifah would be the diminutive/affectionate form of Haseefa, which means “wise, judicious woman”. Thus Abu Husaifah would mean a man whose daughter is named Husaifah, or a man who shares the good qualities of the names Haseef/Haseefa.
