Furaat is an Arabic name for boys and girls that means “fresh, sweet water”, water that is refreshing to drink is not salty or bitter. It is also the Arabic name for the Euphrates River, which is a river than originates in Turkey and flows through Syria and Iraq to join with the Tigris River in the southern Iraq.
