Shahed is a Quranic name for boys that means “witness”, “observer”. It is directly mentioned in the Quran in many places The Quran uses it to describe Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, for example in:
O Prophet! surely We have sent you as a shahid (witness), and as a bearer of good news and as a warner. (Quran 33:45)
