Full Meaning of Saraa

Saraa is an indirect Quranic name for girls. It is a common version of the name Saraah. Saraa is not standard Arabic but since many people like how it sounds (with two long “a” sounds instead of one long and one short), they use it instead of Saraah.

Since Saraa is derived from Saraah, and since Saraah is derived from the S-R-R Quranic root, both Saraa and Saraah can be considered Quranic names.

Saraa in Persian means “pure”, “untainted”, and they use it as the name of Prophet Ibrahim’s wife instead of the standard Arabic Saraah.
