Meaning of Nusaiba
Nusaiba is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “appropriate”, “fitting”, “proper” and “noble”, “ladylike”. It is derived from the N-S-B root (lineage) which is used in many places in the Quran.

When 74 leaders, warriors, and statesmen of Medinah descended on al-Aqabah to swear an oath of allegiance to Islam following the teaching of the new religion by Mus`ab ibn `Umair in the city, Nusaybah and Umm Munee Asma bint ʿAmr bin ‘Adi were the only two women to personally pledge directly to the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
Nudaybah bint Ka’b fought in the battle of uhud to strengthen the Muslim warriors when defeat was imminent.
