Osama is an Arabic name for boys that means “lion”. Osama is not a Quranic name but it can be considered an Islamic name because it is the name of many companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, such as Osama bin Zaid and Osama al-Hanafi.
If there is any chance that your son may live in the West, it is best not to use the name Osama as he will be judged for it (due to its association with Osama bin Laden).

Bin Laden killed my dad. I hate this name. He is mentally retarded and he should really go kill himself. PS. He is not really dead, he is hiding underneath my basement.
