some mufti said rayyan means door n its not proper name….as long as I know bab mean door…what rayyan word mean then.. -

Alaikumassalam wa rahmatullah, Rayyan is an acceptable name for Muslim babies. For its meaning see: Rayyan. Here is a fatwa (Arabic) from IslamWeb (which is one of the most trusted Islamic sites) that says that Rayyan is an acceptable Muslim name.
