Asalaamu-Alaimkum
I would like to name my daughter Zahraa (we are open to any spelling variation if there is an islamic preference?) but some have cast doubt on using this name as it is strongly linked to the Shia sect. There is also the ‘Shia’ city in Syria called Zahraa.
As Sunni’s, is there any issue with keeping Zahraa for our newborn?
