Full Meaning of Abdul Melik

Abdul Melik (also spelled Abd al-Maleek, not to be confused with the more common Abdul Malik and Abdul Maalik) is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means “servant of the King”, thus meaning “servant of Allah”. Abdul Melik can be distinguished from its similar siblings by the long “ee” sound in Maleek (Malīk).

Al-Maleek (short “a”, long “ee”) is one of the names of Allah in, used once in the Quran, similar to the more commonly used names of Allah Mālik (long “a”, short “i”) and Malik (short “a”, short “i”), which are also in the Quran.
