Full Meaning of Rahiyma
Rahiyma is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “a woman who acts kindly towards others”, “one who has mercy and compassion when she deals with others”. It is derived from the R-H6-M which is used often in the Quran and is the root of two of the most important names of Allah: ar-Rahmaan (the Most Gracious) and ar-Raheem (the Most Merciful). Below is an example of the R-H6-M root in the Quran:
He said, ‘My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us to Your mercy. You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.’
Rahiyma should not be confused with Raheema, which has a close meaning and pronunciation but is a different word.
