A Quranic Name for Boys

Enees is variant of Anees and has the exact same meaning and pronunciation (see below for full meaning). You can use either Enees or Anees, both are correct and acceptable. If you like this variant more and you'd like to pronounce it the way it is spelled (different than the original name), this is perfectly acceptable. Full Meaning of Enees

Enees is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means “one who is friendly and gentle with others”, “one whose words are consoling”, “one whose presence brings calm and peace”. Eneesa is derived from the A-N-S (to recognize”, “to perceive”) root which is used in many places in the Quran.

And when Moses had completed the term and was traveling with his family, he perceived from the direction of the mount a fire. He said to his family, “Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire. Perhaps I will bring you from there [some] information or burning wood from the fire that you may warm yourselves.” (Quran 28:29)
