Meaning of Zyan
Zyan is an indirect Quranic name for boys and girls that means “adornment”, “decoration”, “beautification”, anything that makes something more beautiful. It is derived from the Z-Y-N root which is used in many places in the Quran.
We have indeed placed all that is on the earth as its adornment in order that We may test them, who among them has the best deeds. (Quran 18:7)

Our sons name is Zyan however we did not name him islamically. We changed the spelling from Zion to Zyan to make it different, his name is hebrew and means the promised land in jeruslalem. Hope that helps.
