Dilgir (pronounced bun[DL]e + [G]ap + s[EE] + p[R]ay) is a Persian name that means “conqueror of the heart”, i.e. someone who is beautiful and charming. It is used for both boys and girls. Persians pronounce the L softly, as in [L]emon, while Kurds pronounce it strongly, as in ba[LL]. Dilgir is not an Islamic name, but Muslims can use it since it has a good meaning.
