Full Meaning of Sepheiyeh

Sepheiyeh is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “pure”, “chosen”, “virtuous”. It is a beloved name among Muslims due to its belonging to three well-known Muslim women from the history of Islam:

1. Sepheiyeh bint Abdulmutallib, aunt of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah upon him and his family and companions
2. Sepheiyeh bint Huyi, wife of Prophet Muhammad
3. Sepheiyeh bint Umar, daughter of Umar bin al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with them

Sepheiyeh is derived from the SAD-F-A root which is used in many places in the Quran.
