My name is Sakinah. My grandmother raised me and she use to spell it Sakeenah. They also say there was a mix up in the way they spelled it on my birth card and or my social security. But I think I represent my name and it brings a lot of attention I am an African American. And may people from different religion admire my name. I heard of a biblical story that there was a woman named Sakinah who was one of the prophets wifes and was at the table while jesus shared his last meal. To Continue I was going to be adopted by a black Muslim family however my grandmother claimed me instead. My father was a married man but my mom stayed in the same neighborhood as him and pointed me to his house. I ran away to my mother house and I one day went to visit my dad ( depressed I think my boyfriend went to jail and I basically didn’t have anyone to turn to my grandparents were old and my mom was on drugs. he said I wasent his however as an adult I see my step brother whom is the same age as me and he tells me my dad asks about me.
