Full Meaning of Meesha

Meesha is a direct Quranic name for girls that means living, life, existence, livelihood, way of life. The word Meesha is three times in the Quran, and it is derived from the Ain-Y-Sh root (life, to live) which is used in many places in the Quran.

Is it they who apportion the mercy of your Lord? It is We who distribute among them their livelihood in the life of this world, and raise some of them above others in rank, so that they may take one another into service; and the mercy of your Lord is better than [the wealth] which they amass. (Quran43:32)

And how many a community that [once] exult­ed in its wanton wealth and ease of life have We destroyed, so that those dwelling-places of theirs – all but a few – have never been dwelt-in after them: for it is indeed We alone who shall remain when all else will have passed away! (Quran 28:58)
