Isra is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “night journey”, it refers to the Prophet’s journey from Mecca to Jerusalem. Isra is an acceptable name and it is also the name of one of the chapters of the Quran (ch. 17). It is an indirect Quranic name because the word “isra” itself is not mentioned in the Quran (the names of the chapters of the Quran are not considered part of the text of the Quran), but the root of Isra, which is S-R-A, is used multiple times in the Quran.

Israel and Esrael are the same. The proof is right here. “S-R-A” does not have an I or an E. Therefore Jacob and the Angel of Death have the same name for some reason.
