Aurang is an Iranian name that means “water-colored”, and in Kurdish (an Iranian language) it means dew (water droplets found on plants in the morning). In standard Persian the name would be Abrang, while in Kurdish (and possibly Urdu) it is Aurang. Both are correct, it is up to you which one you choose.
Aurang is not an Islamic name but Muslims can use it since it has a good meaning. Aureng is also a synonym of Aurang used by Kurds.
