Full Meaning of Chaheyde

Chaheyde is a Quranic name for boys that means “witness”, “observer”. It is directly mentioned in the Quran in many places The Quran uses it to describe Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, for example in:

O Prophet! surely We have sent you as a shahid (witness), and as a bearer of good news and as a warner. (Quran 33:45)

Surely We have sent you as a shahid (witness) and as a bearer of good news and as a warner, so that you may believe in God and His Messenger, and may help him, and honor him, and so that you may glorify God morning and evening. (Quran 48:8-9)
